Bring Snacks
Trying on dress after dress is hard work! Be sure to eat a light, filling meal before you begin your shopping experience–and bring water and snacks to keep yourself fortified during your big day!
Limit Your Appointments
Dress shopping can be overwhelming. In the world of bridal shopping, less is more. We recommend scheduling appointments with one or two stores. The more you shop, the more confused you will get. Also, if you find “the” dress, don’t be afraid to stop shopping. Just like when you found your fiancé, “when you know, you know”. It should be no problem to cancel your appointment with other bridal salons – we are all ultimately working together to help you find your dream dress, and if you’ve found it, we are happy to hear it!
Shop Sooner Than Later
Did you know bridal gowns can take up to eight months to come in? In addition, you will need a couple of months for alterations, plus time to buy your accessories, find your perfect shoes, and choose a hairstyle, (which quite often hinges upon the dress). Beyond that, bridesmaids’ dresses and tuxedos cannot be chosen until you have your gown, to ensure everything coordinates. The sooner you find your wedding dress, the sooner you can move on to all of the other fun parts of bridal planning!
