Sarah comes to The Dress Shop with over 15 years of experience in the retail and jewelry industry and now could never picture herself ever doing anything but bridal. Sarah always wanted to work in fashion and the bridal industry has always fascinated her. “The best part of working in a bridal shop is I get to be a part of so many happy moments and memories in a bride’s life and that’s so special. Brides oftentimes dream of the moment of finding their wedding dress since they were a little girl.” Sarah attended Eastern Michigan University for Apparel, Textile, and Merchandising. Sarah is married to her husband, Chaz. She is a huge lover of animals and grew up showing horses. She has three dogs: Emma, Elliot, and Lainey. Sarah loves yoga and being active outside.

Leslie makes magic happen for The Dress Shop, keeping the receiving department running smoothly and ensuring dresses come in on time and picture perfect.  Leslie has been with The Dress Shop for two years, with a background in management, and weddings appear to be “in her blood”.  She first learned of her love of bridal while working for a catering company where she helped decorate cakes, and has also created floral decorations, centerpieces and planned weddings. As an ordained minister, she has even performed over 25 ceremonies. “I love hearing all of the laughter and cheers when a bride say yes,” Leslie says. Leslie has been married to her husband, Eric, for 20 years and they have two daughters. In her spare time, Leslie loves to cook.  Leslie loves animals and would love to have a farm one day.

Carol has been with The Dress Shop for over three years and previously was a banquet server for 25 years, specializing in weddings. She has always enjoyed working with brides on their wedding day. Carol’s favorite part about working in bridal is making dreams come true for her brides. “There is nothing more exciting than when my brides find the perfect dress and they can share this feeling with their entire group. I love creating a moment for them that will be a part of their whole bridal planning experience that hopefully they will remember for years to come.” Carol is married to her husband, Jim, who is a retired firefighter. She has two daughters and three stepdaughters (lots of girls!) Her favorite thing to do when she is not working is spending time with her adult children. “I love all those moments where we can laugh and hang out. It makes my heart happy.”

Christy has been with The Dress Shop for over a year. Christy loves connecting with her brides and getting to know their stories. “My favorite part is watching a bride light up and say yes to her dress.”  She adds, “I love seeing photos of the wedding after they get married – it’s fun to see the brides at their venue in their dream dress.” Christy is originally from San Diego and is married with a dog child (Lulu Belle).  Before coming to The Dress Shop, she worked at the Lourie Center for Children’s Social & Emotional Wellness as well as for Wedding Wire. She loves Disney and everything vintage, gardening, baking, traveling and admits to having an affinity for The Gilmore Girls.

Isabel has been helping brides find their dream dress for over two years. Originally thinking she wanted to be a wedding planner, Isabel found her niche at The Dress Shop. She has always loved dresses so it’s no surprise that she ended up in bridal. Isabel jokes about wrapping her younger sister up in a lace curtain, as kids, and making her marry the dog. Isabel loves people. The best thing about the bridal industry is that every bride is unique, and she loves watching her brides’ visions come to life. “My favorite bridal moment is when a bride puts her dress back on for the big reveal, spins around, looks in the mirror, and has a few moments alone to just take it all in.” Isabel loves NASCAR and the Red Wings. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, traveling, cooking and baking. She has two Corgis named Stanley and Amelia

Jessie has been in the bridal industry for almost 15 years, starting with saying yes to her own wedding dress.   She says, “From that moment on, I fell in love with the bridal industry and knew it was the perfect fit for me.  My absolute favorite part of the bridal shopping experience is when I see my bride’s face light up the moment she puts on ‘the one’. This is one of the most special days of a bride’s life and I love being a part of their journey.”  Jessie is married to her high school sweetheart of 18 years and has five beautiful children that are her entire world.  She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors and attending all of her children’s sporting events. In her spare time, she loves date nights with her husband, taking summer trips and hunting in the fall.
